Testing the Venicci Claro 3-in-1 plus travel system
I’m a first time mum-to-be and shortly after I found out I was pregnant, I discovered there is a whole new world when it comes to picking your dream pram. There are so many to chose from to the point where it can be incredibly overwhelming.
I’ve tried out the beautiful Venicci Claro stroller in a stunning caramel – and looking at it I knew I was in love, but we didn’t have an easy start! The Claro stroller comes with multiple parts, including a newborn carrycot and a pushchair seat. I built it solo, putting on the wheels, getting the body of the pram in place and securing it so I could put my newborn carrycot onto it. I was so impressed with myself for how quickly I got it up, until it came to the carrycot.
For me, the instructions just were not clear enough for how to get it to stand up in place – I googled, looked on YouTube, TikTok and FaceTimed a friend, none of us could figure it out. Luckily, after I gave up following an hour of attempts, my husband arrived home the next day and put far more force than I ever would have into the silver bars and got it working. So it was fine, but I really wish there were either instructions with words – it only had images – or a QR code to send you to a video to see how to put it together. It would’ve saved a lot of hassle!
But, moving on from the palaver I had on that first night, the pram is exactly what I hoped it would be. The carrycot is so, so easy to take on and off and the thing that absolutely sells it for me is how easy it is to fold it down. It’s the most simple thing with just a click of a button, but after my friend and I once spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get her stroller down, I was ready for a tough time, but it took under 30 seconds! I was then able to easily pick it up, so it’s perfect to take on a trip to the shops in my car. It also has memory buttons to make the release of the carrycot easier, which is even more of a bonus for those days that I’m taking the pram out in the car.
The brakes are great, there’s still some movement in the front wheels when the brakes are on, but the back wheels are so secure that there would be absolutely no rolling back, which makes me feel so comfortable. It’s easy to push, which is a must for me as I’ll have my dogs walking with me a lot of the time too!
Cleaning seems like an easy job, the footmuff can be removed, I can wipe down the outside but also, the material is water-repellent, which is always a nice-to-have despite having the rain cover too. It’s not too big or clunky, so I’m happy just storing it in a small room in our home as it fits pretty perfectly behind my office door, but it can also be folded if needed and as I mentioned, it’s so quick to pull back into place that it wouldn’t be an issue.
Now that I’ve got everything in place, I’m confident that it’s sturdy enough for my little one and I don’t have any concerns about safety. There are additional features such as a mesh panel which can be unzipped if baby needs extra ventilation in higher temperatures. With UV50 resistant fabric to, it feels even safer when the warm weather makes a return. What’s even better? The pushchair unit can last all the way up to 22KG, which is fantastic! We’ll be able to keep this pram for such a long time which makes it worth every penny. But also, it’s not too costly compared to others on the market, and with the 3-in-1, you get everything you need!
Final verdict
I’m honestly so happy with this pram, it’s budget friendly, available in some beautiful colours and is so easy to use. I would definitely recommend it, but just as a reminder, putting together the carrycot does need to be done with some serious force! That’s the only thing I would change, adding something to make it clearer how it should be put together.
